Dr. Morales performs brow lift procedures at his plastic surgery centers in Houston and Katy, Texas. A brow lift corrects droopy eyebrows that hood the eyelids and create deep forehead wrinkles to result in a more awakened appearance. During the procedure, an incision is made directly above the eyebrow, which is called a direct brow lift, or in the middle to the lower forehead region. Using the most advanced surgical techniques, Dr. Morales works with each patient to find the best surgical plan that achieves the most natural-looking results.
Brow Lift Reviews
During the Surgery@headingTag>
Brow lift surgery is done on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia, and takes about 1 to 2 hours to complete. A brow lift can either be done alone or with other procedures. The standard brow lift, is performed through an incision in the hairline of the forehead. Through three to five small incisions in the scalp, the deep wrinkles of the lateral forehead can be improved, and the eyebrows can be raised. Implant screws are often used to support the lift in the first few weeks. A drain may be used to help prevent excess swelling from falling down into the upper eyelids.
After surgery, the patient’s forehead and eyelids will be swollen. Swelling is usually at its height on the morning after surgery. The fine skin sutures are usually removed a few days following surgery. The scars will be pink for several weeks, but they will fade over a period of several months. Patients will most likely be able to begin light daily activities after the first few days, but more aerobic recreation should be delayed for about three weeks. Most patients return to their jobs within a week unless their job requires lifting or aerobic activity.
The expected cost of a brow lift surgery depends on each patient’s desired results. Patients can expect to pay between $3,000 and $5,000 for a brow lift.
