"My experience has been and continues to be nothing but the absolute best from Dr. Morales and his team. I have experienced extreme weight loss after bariatric surgery and was in search of someone to assist with a thigh lift, butt lift, full body lift, mons lift, arm lift, breast lift with augmentation and some lipo here and there. This has been all staged in a two part surgery and Dr. Morales has held my hand the entire time. I am currently finished with stage 1 and awaiting stage 2 and could not be happier with my results thus far."- M.G. / Google / Oct 08, 2020
"I began a weight loss journey about three years ago. After changing my lifestyle, eating right and exercising regularly, I lost over 100 pounds in a year. Although I was incredibly happy with the changes in my body, it wasn't the image I had in my head. I had excess skin that no amount of working out was going to tighten up. So I came to see Dr. Morales about abdominoplasty and an inner thigh lift. I was incredibly anxious and to be honest a little weary but from the moment I walked in the office I felt like I was part of the family. I laughed and I cried at the first consultation and I knew I had found the right practice and more importantly the right surgeon to help me finish what I had started! I had a couple more appointments before the big day and my biggest concern was recovery. Dr. Morales was with me every step of the way and answered every silly question, and calmed every silly anxiety, through the whole process from the first consultation through every follow up appointment. My surgery was a year and a half ago and I could not be happier with the results. I have gained a confidence that I had no idea was buried deep inside, and I continue to work at being healthy each and every day and am in the best shape of my life. I am even running the Houston Half Marathon next weekend. I am so thankful for the support and encouragement from Dr. Morales and would recommend him to anyone who was considering a procedure for whatever reason. As soon as you meet him you will not regret it!"- B.N. / Google / Jan 23, 2014
Am I a Candidate for a Thigh Lift?
Dr. Morales can assess your hanging thigh skin in a private consultation room at his office. He will have a one-on-one conversation with you about your loose skin on your inner and/or outer thighs to determine your eligibility for a thigh lift, thigh liposuction, or both. You do need to be near or at your ideal weight to have a thigh lift. Weight fluctuations after a thigh lift can alter your surgical results. It is also very important to be healthy and have realistic expectations as to what plastic surgery can do for your appearance.
Your Thigh Lift Surgery & Recovery
A thigh lift is performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. Dr. Morales has several techniques he may use for a thigh lift. The location of the laxity and amount of skin you need to have removed will determine the technique Dr. Morales will carry out for your surgery. When there is strictly vertical excess skin, the incision will be made in the groin crease to conceal the scar. When there is circumferential excess thigh skin, a vertical incision will be placed at the most inner part of the upper leg to hide the scar.
Dressings will be applied over the incisions, and they will be carefully wrapped in a supportive bandage. There are no sutures to remove because Dr. Morales puts multiple layers of self-absorbing sutures below the skin. Small, outside suture tails are trimmed within 7 – 10 days. Strenuous activity and heavy lifting will need to be avoided for about two months. It may take a few months for swelling to subside. Your surgical scars should fade over time. Dr. Morales will have you back in his office for a follow-up appointment to check on how you are healing and let you know when you are released to go back to work or to resume exercise.
The average cost for a thigh lift is between $5,500 – $10,000. This price estimate can fluctuate, depending on the extent of the surgery and whether any other procedure is added.

Thigh Lift FAQs
Can I combine a thigh lift With Other Procedures?
Many patients have additional plastic surgeries when a thigh lift is involved. Dr. Morales will discuss how safe it is for you to have multiple procedures with your thigh lift. Your safety is his number one priority. Many patients combine a thigh lift with a tummy tuck or a fat transfer to the buttocks or breasts.
Should I have Thigh Liposuction or a thigh lift?
You are in great hands with Dr. Morales. He will explain to you what procedures will work best and why. If excess skin is the problem and not extra fat, a thigh lift is the better option. Patients who are good candidates for a thigh lift usually have stretched out skin that will not retract after liposuction. If liposuction is performed only, there would be even more excess loose skin. Discuss your options in a private thigh plastic surgery consultation.
How Long is the recovery period for a thigh lift?
You may need 2 – 3 weeks to recover from a thigh lift. The more extensive your procedure is, the more time you may need to heal. Not only are you recovering from liposuction, but you also have to take into consideration the amount of excess skin that was removed. You will need time to heal and to follow Dr. Morales's post-operative instructions.
