TO OUR PATIENTS:

Dr. Morales would like to reassure our patients of our commitment to keeping you, your family & our staff safe. We understand the many concerns & anxieties in our community today.

Effective, Monday March 23, 2020 in response to COVID-19 we will be suspending all outpatient surgery at the ACPS Surgery Center. We are closed until at least Friday, April 3, 2020. We are monitoring the situation daily and will provide communication when we reopen. PLEASE NOTE: Our clinic operations will remain open to provide support to our surgical patients in need of follow-up care and any emergent cases but will be working with reduced staffing & hours to comply with the guidelines put out by the CDC. Our call center is working remotely and is available to take your phone calls and answer any questions you might have.

With that in mind Dr. Morales has chosen to implement some new policies & ask for your assistance & understanding. The following guidelines have been put in place for your safety & ours:

Limiting the number of visitors to our office is one of the most common-sense actions we can take to minimize everyone's risk.

  • We are allowing every patient just 1 additional guest. Do not come to your appointment with more than 1 additional family member or friend.
  • Do not arrive too early to your appointment so we minimize the number of people in our waiting rooms.
  • We are replacing some in-person appointments with tele-medicine options.
  • We are eliminating unnecessary vendor traffic.
  • We ask patients to not schedule appointments if you:
  • Have fever of 100.0° or greater.
  • Have signs & symptoms of a respiratory illness.
  • Have traveled outside the US in the last 14 days including cruises.
  • Have traveled on a commercial flight in the last 14 days.
  • Have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19

Pre-screening of both patients & staff is another recommended method of minimizing risk. Our pre-screening process will require all staff & patients to answer a questionnaire & have their temperature taken before gaining access to our office. Unless Dr. Morales requires you to be seen right way, your appointment may need to be rescheduled if you:

  • Have a fever of 100.0° or greater.
  • Show signs & symptoms of a respiratory illness (exceptions granted if you are willing to wear a mask)
  • Have traveled internationally travel in the last 14 days including cruises.
  • Have traveled on a commercial flight in the last 14 days.
  • Have had contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19
  • Patients who must be seen will be asked to wear a mask & will be escorted directly to an exam room.

We ask that you follow our infection control etiquette which includes:

  • Using hand sanitizer immediately when you enter the office & throughout your visit.
  • Washing hands often.
  • Do not shake hands with staff or other guests.
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue if you need to cough or cough into the crook of your arm. Discard used tissues right way & don't forget to wash your hands afterwards.
  • Be mindful not to touch your face, nose & eyes.
  • Dr. Morales & staff will be practicing non-contact greetings, please don't be offended if they don't shake your hand.

Dr. Morales is committed to providing the best care possible in the safest environment we can. We remain fully operational & in any event, we will continue to here to serve you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Morales & Staff
