CASE DESCRIPTION: Patient presented for evaluation to improve the appearance of her abdomen after pregnancies. She was unhappy that her abdomen "always looked pregnant." She was unable to improve the tone of her abdomen with diet and exercise. The after pictures below are two months from abdominoplasty with muscle tightening (anterior rectus fascia plication). She had a quick recovery, and has returned to all her lifestyle activities. PROCEDURE NOTES: Standard Abdominoplasty with 3-layer anterior rectus fascia plication for diastesis (muscle separation of the midline) repair. Exparel (longterm local anesthetic) was injected during the procedure to reduce postoperative pain and reduce amount of pain medicines required in the recovery period.
