CASE DESCRIPTION: Patient presented for evaluation to improve the appearance of her abdomen after pregnancies and massive weight loss. She was unhappy with "stretched out tummy" with saggy and deflated excess skin and stretch marks. The after pictures below are two months from abdominoplasty with muscle tightening (anterior rectus fascia plication). She had a quick recovery, and has returned to all her lifestyle activities. PROCEDURE NOTES: Standard Extended Abdominoplasty with anterior rectus fascia plication for diastesis (muscle separation of the midline) repair. Liposuction was also performed to improve to contours of the waistline. Exparel (longterm local anesthetic) was injected during the procedure to reduce postoperative pain and reduce amount of pain medicines required in the recovery period.
