Houston Woman has Hip Lift Surgery

CASE DESCRIPTION: Patient presented for evaluation to improve the appearance of her hips after a previous tummy tuck. She did not want to have longer scars for the recommended body lift at that time. After surgery, she was unhappy with the "muffin tops" of her hips and realized that the hip lift (part of the body lift) would be needed. The after pictures below are two months after the hip lift. She had a quick recovery, and has returned to all her lifestyle activities. PROCEDURE NOTES: Standard hip lift with direct excision of skin and fat was performed. Liposuction was also performed to improve to contours of the waistline. Exparel (longterm local anesthetic) was injected during the procedure to reduce postoperative pain and reduce amount of pain medicines required in the recovery period.
