Houston area patients concerned about skin irregularities such as wrinkles and loose skin may consider radio frequency skin tightening as a nonsurgical alternative for facial rejuvenation. This technology is one of the biggest breakthroughs for the anti-aging market. Houston plastic surgeon, Dr. Rolando Morales, offers this service and is proud to introduce ThermiRF to his patients. Also known as “Symphony RF” this wrinkle reduction and skin tightening laser treatment targets the subdermal layer of the skin, which is the deep internal layer. The technology is simple: when heated to a high temperature, the body naturally produces collagen. ThermiRF uses a controlled temperature approach to heat the internal layers, which in turn helps produce a smooth result on the surface.

Yes I have ate clean did crunches and cardio and nothing. I also had scars on my stomach that needed to be taken care of. "I had a lower body lift with tummy tuck, breast augmentation, lipo of flanks and BBL! I feel like he took it to a personal level! He did everything I asked and he went above and beyond what I ever expected my body to turn out like! It has only been 3 weeks and I'm already in love with my body and it just keeps getting better as the swelling goes down! From the moment I stepped in the office the day of my surgery April 4th, I was treated with nothing but kindness! The woman wh...o walked me to my private room, wish I could remember her name, had me laughing and feeling at ease! The anesthesiologist had me laughing and feeling right at home! Walking into the OR still felt so comfortable! This man has changed my life for the better! I never thought I could look like this and am extremely pleased i was referred to him! Thank you for being an artist and making me your canvas!"- S.P. / Facebook / Apr 28, 2017
Patients who want to treat cellulite, loose skin and wrinkles, but are not ready for a surgical procedure may consider ThermiRF. Currently, this technology is being used for cellulite reduction in the thighs and abdomen. It is also used to lift and tighten loose skin in the lower face and neck, as well as under the eyes and on the forehead. It can be used on pretty much any area of the body to treat a number of issues. In addition to cosmetic treatment, it is also used to address excessive sweating and reduce the function of certain nerves, similar to a BOTOX treatment.
ThermiRF is performed in-office and does not require anesthesia. Dr. Morales will mark the target areas, apply a cool gel to the surface of the skin, and gently roll the skin with a small circular hand piece that emits RF waves. The energy waves targets the tissue just below the skin’s surface.
They are sent through a tiny probe that distributes bursts of radiofrequency energy, heating the tissue to a desired temperature hot enough to stimulate the production of collagen.
What To Expect@headingTag>
During treatment, although the patient will feel the heat from the laser device, patients generally do not feel any pain or discomfort. The treated areas may remain red and swollen for several hours after the procedure, but patients can otherwise resume their normal activities. Results start appearing within a few hours of treatment, but it takes several months for the full effect to become visible as the collagen production does its work. Some patients may require multiple treatment sessions. Results can last up to 1-2 years.
ThermiRF will vary in cost depending on what areas of the body are treated, as well as the number of sessions it takes to attain the desired results. Patients addressing the area under the eyes will obviously pay less than those who are targeting larger areas such as the flanks and thighs. On average, the total cost is $500+ per treatment area. Most patients can expect to pay between $1,000-$8,000.
